Michael G. Dickler, Partner
Mr. Dickler joined Sperling & Slater in 2004. He has developed a wide range of skills representing clients in complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, first party insurance disputes, and appellate work, both in federal and state court. Prior to working at Sperling & Slater, Mr. Dickler spent two years as a law clerk to the Honorable Wayne R. Andersen, United Stated District Judge for the Northern District of Illinois, and three years as a litigation associate at Jenner & Block.

Representative Matters
Directors and Officers
Mr. Dickler has worked on a range of directors and officer matters, both in the context of defending directors and officers from shareholder derivative suits and in the context of defending such individuals from suits brought by trustees in bankruptcy.
Insurance Coverage
Mr. Dickler has also represented clients seeking coverage from their insurance companies. Mr. Dickler is currently representing a client against an insurance company in a dispute over the value of a manufacturing facility destroyed by fire.
Appellate Argument
While Mr. Dickler has participated in the drafting and submission of appellate briefs in many cases, both federal and state, he most recently argued a pro bono appeal before the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
