Mona A. Idrees, Associate
Ms. Idrees joined Sperling & Slater in 2004. She has developed a range of skills representing clients in complex commercial litigation, bankruptcy and insolvency matters, and antitrust litigation, in both federal and state courts. Prior to working at Sperling & Slater, Ms. Idrees spent three years as a litigation associate at a mid-sized Chicago firm.

Representative Matters
Complex Commercial Litigation
Ms. Idrees represents directors and officers of a now insolvent Delaware corporation, defending them against claims of breach of fiduciary duty and corporate waste. She has also represented a Boston-based private equity firm in post-merger and acquisition disputes.
Bankruptcy and Insolvency
Ms. Idrees is a member of a team of lawyers at Sperling & Slater who, as special counsel to the liquidation trust of Ha-Lo Industries, have pursued claims, including fraudulent transfer, breach of fiduciary duty, negligence and corporate waste, in bankruptcy adversary proceedings against several individuals and entities with respect to the downfall of Ha-Lo.
Antitrust
Ms. Idrees represents a national supermarket chain in its claims against a major manufacturer of household items for improperly bundling rebates to place more of its products into the retail markets, in violation of the Sherman Act. She also represents the nation’s largest artificial turf manufacturer in a lawsuit involving antitrust and corresponding patent infringement issues.
